VIDEO: AFC Championship Gear Means Big Score for Middletown Store

Several residents rushed to in Middletown Monday to get their hands on a piece of New England sports' history after the Patriots' big win. 

The New England Patriots won the AFC Championship Sunday night after a nail-biting 23-20 win against the Baltimore Ravens.

The Patriots will now take on the New York Giants at Super Bowl XLVI, which will take place Sunday, Feb. 5. The kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. eastern standard time. 

Before the Middletown store even opened at 9 a.m. Monday, several customers stood in line to purchase an AFC Championship T-shirt. As of noon, a total of 24 gray T-shirts and 24 hats were purchased. 

"We expect to get more men's and kids' T-shirts tomorrow," said store manager Kyle Thibault (which is pronounced like "Tebow"). 

The gray, adult-size AFC Championship T-shirts cost $22 with the white hats going for $28.
