Viewfinder: Frosty Freez Fans Line Up Lickety-Split for Season Finale
Frosty Freez, considered by many to be a Middletown institution, closes at 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30 before reopening April 1 for the 2012 season.
Fans of  from near and far lined up outside the Middletown ice cream stand on Friday to bid fond fare-thee-wells on its final day of the 2011 season.
To thank customers, a sign outside the stand offered discounts of 25 to 50 percent off treats and take-home pints and quarts.
As it does each year, the Middletown Frosty Freez is scheduled to reopen April 1 in 2012.
