Many choose the beach or an air-conditioned room.However, in these times of extreme heat, many just want a rememberance of the past, when they were children and times were good and the best remedey for a hot summer day was a cool, frothy, chilled milkshake like the one from the Five and Dime down the road.

The "milkshake" has been around since the late 1800s and is still going strong in our culture and others as it has evolved from a whiskey-based drink to one a syrup one in strawberry, chocolate and vanilla flavors.
