Visiting Nurse Services of Newport and Bristol Counties will hold a four week series on Diabetes Education
This four week education series provides information and answers questions on topics of interest to diabetics.
Visiting Nurse Services of Newport and Bristol Counties is holding a four week Diabetes Self Management Education series Thursdays February 19, 26, March 5 and 12 from 9:30 am to 11:30 am in our Portsmouth office located at 1184 East Main Road. Topics include: nutrition and meal planning, blood sugar monitoring, exercise and weight management, prevention of complications and medication management. The classes are taught by a nurse, a dietitian and a pharmacist all of whom are Certified Diabetes Educators. The program is certified by both the RI Department of Health and the American Diabetes Association through the Hallett Center for Diabetes and Endocrinology, RI Hospital.
