West Warwick Man Arrested for Tattooing Portsmouth Teen

Police say 19-year-old Alexander John Baker of West Warwick tattooed a minor without parental consent.

Alexander John Baker, 19, of 15 Pulaski St., Apt. A, West Warwick, was arrested at the Newport police station at 12:35 p.m. Sunday on the charge of tattooing a minor.

Police received a report in March from the mother of a 15-year-old Portsmouth girl who admitted that she gave Baker permission to tattoo her right hip during a party at Bayside Village apartments on Feb. 21.

The daughter identified Baker as an "aspiring tattoo artist" and said that he used needle and ink to tattoo her boyfriend's name on her body, according to police.
