The mother and sister, identified only as a 59-year-old woman and a 25-year-old woman, were taken St. Luke's Hospital. Both are expected to survive, Quinn said.
An investigation found the family of Jean Baptiste's fianceé had been living with the couple while searching for another place to live. According to authorities, Jean Baptiste told his fianceé he was unhappy with the living arrangement and that her family needed to leave.
Authorities said Labasquin was involved in a "physical struggle with Jean Baptiste" when he was shot.
