2 Providence Men Arrested By Intel Unit, 1 On Coke Charge, Other On Gun Charges: Cops

The Providence men live at the same address, police said.

PROVIDENCE, RI — The Rhode Island State Police Intelligence Unit arrested one Providence man on a cocaine charge and another on gun charges, police said.

Hector Viruet Hernandez, 42, and Louis Luciano, 49, were arrested Tuesday, the state police said in media release.

Viruet Hernandez was arrested on a charge of possession with intent to deliver cocaine, according to the release, and Luciano was arrested on charges of possession of firearms by certain persons prohibited and large-capacity feeding devices prohibited.

Viruet Hernandez and Luciano reside at the same Sweet Avenue address, the release said.

Viruet Hernandez and Luciano were processed at state police headquarters and taken to Sixth Division District Court to be arraigned, according to the release.
