3 Injured After Deer Jumps Through Bus's Windshield In RI

The crash occurred after a deer ran from Sachem Avenue​ straight onto Warwick Avenue and into the bus.

WARWICK, RI — Three people were injured in Warwick Wednesday morning after a deer jumped through the windshield of a RIPTA bus, according to multiple reports.

The deer ran from Sachem Avenue straight onto Warwick Avenue and into the bus, WPRI reported, adding that the deer died as a result of the collision.

There were a total of six people on board the bus at the time. Two people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries for broken glass, while a third went to the hospital on their own, according to ABC6.
