4 Juveniles Charged In Hope High School Sexual Assault Investigation: Providence Police

PROVIDENCE, RI — Four juveniles were charged with first-degree sexual assault in connection with an attack inside Hope High School, police said.

About 11 a.m. Wednesday, "Providence Police began an investigation after receiving a report of a sexual assault that allegedly occurred inside the school," Kristy dosReis, the chief public information officer for the Providence Department of Public Safety, said in an email.

The juveniles were charged Thursday and are being held at the Rhode Island Training School, according to dosReis.

"The investigation remains ongoing," she said. "No further information is being released at this time due to the ages of those involved and the ongoing investigation."
