Bridge to Nowhere

What: Adam Parrish is showcasing his new play at AS220 until Saturday night. A description of it reads: "Bruce Avery and Spencer Townsend are among the top professional bridge players in the country. Bruce is brass and outspoken, and he’s got a reputation as a difficult guy to play with. Spencer is a mild-mannered intellectual. Bridge to Nowhere is a two-person play that tracks the progression of their bridge partnership. Will opposites attract, or is it doomed from the beginning?"

Puerto Rican BayFest

What: The Puerto Rican BayFest was launched in 2019 as a celebration of Puerto Rican culture, values, music and food, and returns this year at India Point Park. Tables to play dominoes, a bounce house, mechanical bull and plenty of food will set the stage for the all-day affair.

What: Does DL Hughley really need an introduction? The standup comedian, actor and author will play Comedy Connection in East Providence this weekend. His 11th special, "DL Hughley: Contrarian", is currently streaming on Netflix.

Lucy Dacus and Samia

What: Chances are you won't be able to see Lucy Dacus at Newport Folk Festival. The show is sold out, but there's another chance to see Dacus in Rhode Island. She will be joined on her tour by Samia at the Strand Ballroom on Sunday in support of her 2021 album "Home Video".
