Woman Charged With Obtaining More Thank $10K In Property By False Pretenses: Cops

She was also charged with accessing a computer for fraudulent purposes, police said.

PROVIDENCE, RI — A Providence woman was charged with obtaining more than $10,000 worth of property by false pretenses or personation, police said.

Belgica Acevedo, 45, was also charged with accessing a computer for fraudulent purposes, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.

Acevedo surrendered to police at the Hope Valley Barracks about 3 p.m. Thursday, the release said.

Acevedo was processed, arraigned and released with a court date, according to police.
