PROVIDENCE, RI — A Providence man was arrested in connection with an April shooting in the Hartford Projects, police said.
Felix Fernandez, 35, was arrested Friday on charges of felony assault, using a firearm to commit a crime of violence causing grave bodily injury, carrying a pistol without a license, firing in a compact area and disorderly conduct, Kristy DosReis, the chief public information officer for the Providence Department of Public Safety, said in an email.
Fernandez was arrested by Providence police and the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force after a search warrant was executed at his home, DosReis said.
Fernandez was arrested "in connection with an outstanding arrest warrant related to a shooting in the Hartford Projects back on April 12," DosReis said.
