PROVIDENCE, RI — A Providence man was charged with intending to deliver crack cocaine, police said.
Andre Hazard, 41, was arrested about 8:30 p.m. Thursday by the Rhode Island State Police High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area task force, the state police said in a media release.
Hazard was charged with possession of crack cocaine and possession with intent to deliver crack cocaine, according to the release.
"The arrest was the result of search warrants conducted at the conclusion of a narcotics investigation," the release said.
Hazard was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned by a justice of the peace, and taken to the Adult Correctional Facilities pending an arraignment, according to the release.
