Providence Woman Charged With Harboring Criminal: Cops

She was investigated by the Special Victims Unit, police said.

PROVIDENCE, RI — A Providence woman was charged with harboring a criminal, police said.

Chanel Jordan, 29, was arrested by the Rhode Island State Special Victims Unit at her Angel Street residence about 7:45 a.m. Thursday, the state police said in a media release.

The state police Violent Fugitive Task Force and troopers from the Lincoln Woods Barracks assisted in the arrest, according to the release.

"The arrest was the result of an investigation by the Special Victims Unit and Ms. Jordan being located at her residence," the release said.

Jordan was processed at state police headquarters and taken to Sixth Division District Court for an arraignment, according to the release.
