PROVIDENCE, RI — A Massachusetts man was charged with a Providence hit-and-run crash, police said.
Herman Sanchez, 64, was arrested on a charge of duty to stop for an accident resulting in damage to an attended vehicle shortly after 11 a.m. Saturday, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.
"The arrest was the result of troopers responding to a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident on (Interstate) 95 South in Pawtucket and later locating the suspect on Smithfield Avenue" in Providence, the release said.
Sanchez, a resident of Weymouth, was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned by a justice of the peace and released with a notice to appear in court, according to police.
