Hoosier Wanted On Assault And/Or Battery Charge Nabbed In Providence: Cops

PROVIDENCE, RI — An Indiana man wanted on a charge of assault and/or battery was apprehended in Providence, police said.

Armando Ortega, 30, was pulled over and arrested about 12:45 a.m. Thursday, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.

Ortega, a resident of Marion, was wanted in connection with a Woonsocket Police Department case, according to the release.

"Ortega was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and turned over to the Woonsocket Police Department," the release said.
