Discover our dynamic planet, past and present! Enjoy activity tables and daily planetarium shows (ages 4 and older, $5) at 2pm. From the ground under your feet to the sky above, join us at Museum of Natural History and Planetarium in Roger Williams Park to explore the wonders of our incredible Earth. Museum admission is $2 | Free for Museum Members and children under age 4. Planetarium shows (includes Museum Admission) are $5 | Free for Museum Members. Children must be age 4 or older to attend the planetarium show. 
Daily Activities | Saturday, April 18 – Friday, April 24 10am–4pm | Earth Family Fun Explore a variety of family-friendly, hands-on activities highlighting our local and global ecosystems. Cost: Free with Museum admission. 
2pm | Our Place in Space Planetarium show There’s no place like home! Begin your journey on Earth and travel through our solar system and beyond. The City Nature Challenge (April 24–27), is an annual international event to collaboratively record as many wildlife observations as possible during a four-day challenge. People from all over the world explore nature in their neighborhoods and cities to find and document wildlife. 2026 marks Rhode Island’s 5th year participating, and we need community members like you to help us record as many species as we can. iNaturalist, a free smartphone app that allows anyone to photograph and identify plants and animals while contributing to real scientific research. Scientists and conservation organizations use this community-collected data to monitor biodiversity and track environmental change. Come learn how your iNaturalist observations can make a difference! Join the Rhode Island affiliate of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN) for PurpleStride Rhode Island 2026, a free, family-friendly walk to end pancreatic cancer. This annual event brings together survivors, caregivers, families, and supporters to honor loved ones, celebrate survivors, and raise funds for critical research and patient services.
Participants can walk in honor or memory of someone affected by pancreatic cancer while supporting efforts to improve early detection, treatment, and outcomes for patients.
Featured speaker Anna Berkenblit, MD, MMSc, Chief Scientific and Medical Officer at PanCAN, will share remarks, and Mike Montecalvo of WPRI 12 will return as emcee.
