Newport Vineyards

Gather your coven for an enchanting evening at Newport Vineyards. Inspired by the spellbinding charm of Practical Magic with a refined winery twist, Witches in the Vines brings together mystical readings, hands-on experiences, local shopping, live music, food and wine beneath the autumn sky. Wander through the event at your own pace, visit the vendors that call to you and enjoy a little magic at the Vineyard.
Admission: Complimentary admission (free RSVP appreciated for estimated guest count). Experiences and products offered by participating vendors are available for individual purchase and are first come, first serve.
Mystical Experiences & Local Vendors:

Bewitching Cocktails:
Midnight Espresso Martini – Dark, rich and velvety as a moonless night, our twist on the classic espresso martini is the perfect pick-me-up for an evening of spellcasting. Potion Sangria Flights – A flight of four sangrias crafted with Newport Vineyards wines, each poured in its own jewel-toned hue like potions fresh from the cauldron. Sample all four and discover which one casts its spell on you. Plus a few more specialty cocktails brewing behind the bar, each crafted with a touch of seasonal magic.
Sweet & Savory Bites:
Cannoli & Wine Pairing Bar – Indulge in cannoli’s thoughtfully paired with our estate wines for a bewitching sweet-meets-sip experience. Charcuterie Cart – A curated spread of cured meats, cheeses and seasonal accompaniments to nibble on between vendor visits.
Dress the Part:
Fashionable witchy attire is encouraged – think flowy black dresses, boots, leather, rich burgundy tones and, of course, your favorite witch hat if you please.
The evening will take place throughout our downstairs event space and, weather permitting, outdoors near the vines and firepits. Please bring a sweater or jacket so you can comfortably enjoy the autumn evening.
Dinner at the Bistro:
Full Dinner Service – Make a night of it with a seated dinner upstairs at Farm & Barrel Bistro, featuring seasonal fare and our full wine list.
Admission is complimentary, and guests are welcome to come and go throughout the evening. We kindly ask that attendees support Newport Vineyards by purchasing food or beverages from our stations or joining us for dinner. Your support allows us to continue bringing special community events like this to the vineyard. Come for a reading, create something magical, raise a glass and celebrate the season with your favorite witches.

Blackstone River Glass Center

Fused Glass Mezuzah Class Sundays: 2:00 pm-3:30
Create a meaningful and beautiful piece of glass art in this hands-on fused glass mezuzah class. Participants will design and build a decorative glass mezuzah using colorful sheet glass, frit, and stringers. You’ll explore composition, color layering, and basic glass-fusing techniques while creating a one-of-a-kind piece that reflects your personal style.
Once completed, your mezuzah will be fired in our kiln. No prior glass experience is necessary—this class is beginner-friendly and guided step by step by one of our instructors.
Important Note This class is for educational/craft purposes, the resulting glass is a decorative holder, not a ritually certified vessel, and participants should consult a Rabbi for religious validity/kosher status of the scroll (klaf) and final product, as the shop's process isn't halachically supervised.
⏳ Finished pieces will be ready for pickup approximately 2 weeks after class due to kiln firing schedules.
Ages & Safety Adults, and children ages 9+. Children ages 9–12 must be supervised one-on-one by an adult or teen. No exceptions as this is a safety issue.
Whether you’re creating this piece for yourself, as a gift, or as a meaningful artistic exploration, this class offers a thoughtful blend of tradition, creativity, and molten magic.
What to Expect An introduction to fused glass safety, materials, and basic design techniques Design and assemble a decorative fused glass mezuzah front using sheet glass, frit, and stringers Your glass piece will be kiln-fired after class and ready for pickup in approximately 2 weeks Participants will be sent home with: A non-kosher scroll (klaf) A wooden mezuzah case Items are not assembled in class The finished glass mezuzah can be adhered to the wooden case at home using E600 glue, which is readily available at most hardware storesView Tickets & More Info

Light of Hope

Saturday, October 17 | 10:00 to 11:30 a.m.
Developed as a healing art, qigong is a gentle yet empowering movement practice that strengthens your vital energy (qi). Similar to tai chi, it is usually practiced slowly while standing, but because it does not involve a specific sequence of movements it is simpler to learn. No experience needed.
Following qigong practice, we will settle onto the floor to learn a few self-acupressure points. (A couple chairs will be available if needed.) The workshop will conclude with a brief meditation, either seated or supine, in which acupressure will be offered. Bring a mat or blanket if you have one, and wear loose clothing.
This workshop will be led by Michelle Morisi, DACM, a practitioner of Chinese medicine and certified qigong instructor. Learn more about Michelle at acupuncturebymichelle.com.
Advance registration is required. Learn more & register here: https://www.acupuncturebymichelle.com/workshop.
