
Holiday Lights Celebration at Lippitt Park

- Hosted by Councilwoman Sue Anderbois, in partnership with the Friends of Lippitt Park, the Jewish Alliance, Providence Parks, and the Arts/Culture/Tourism Department

Please come and enjoy the second annual Holiday Lights Celebration at Lippitt Park. This joyful, community-wide event is for everyone: whether you celebrate Hanukkah, Christmas, something else, or nothing at all. Neighbors and friends will gather to share some warmth, light, and music together to celebrate each other and the festive season. All are welcome!
Christmas tree lighting: Santa and Mrs. Claus will help light the Lippitt Park Christmas tree.
Menorah lightning: If you celebrate, please bring your family's menorah for a community lighting led by the Jewish Alliance. Candles will be provided. Local artist Jo Baker will also help display and share the stories of family menorahs.
Music: The Extraordinary Rendition Band will play music after we have lit the menorahs and the Christmas tree! Dress warmly and get ready for an impromptus dance party.
Refreshments: Hot cocoa provided by the Providence Canteen and other baked goodies.
Food drive: Please bring a dry, canned and non-perishable food items, and the Friends of Lippitt Park will be making a donation to food pantries to support local families.
