Museum of Natural History and Planetarium

Beach Day, June 5, 10-10:30am Children, ages 2-4 with parent or caregiver, will investigate the world around them as they sing, dance and discover in this monthly series! Takes place the first Friday of each month, October through June, at 10:00am. Each session will contain age-appropriate stories, songs, poems and a craft related to the topic. Expose your preschool child to science and culture in a unique and stimulating museum setting! Program Fee per session: Free. Pre-registration is preferred but drop-ins are welcome. Immerse yourself in a fun and creative atmosphere while painting your own unique masterpiece! Recommended for ages 14 and up. ⏰ ARRIVAL TIME Our studio opens 30 minutes prior to class time. We recommend arriving 15–30 minutes early to find parking, grab a drink, and get settled. Please note: If you arrive late, the artist may not be able to fill you in on the steps you missed, as they will be focused on guiding the rest of the class. If you arrive more than 20 minutes late, we kindly ask that you do not join the session. Late arrivals can be disruptive and may not have enough time to complete the painting. Light of Hope

Saturday, May 23 | 10:00 to 11:30 a.m.
Developed as a healing art, qigong is a gentle yet empowering movement practice that strengthens your vital energy (qi). Similar to tai chi, it is usually practiced slowly while standing, but because it does not involve a specific sequence of movements it is simpler to learn. No experience needed.
Following qigong practice, we will settle onto the floor to learn a few self-acupressure points. (A couple chairs will be available if needed.) The workshop will conclude with a brief meditation, either seated or supine, in which acupressure will be offered. Bring a mat or blanket if you have one, and wear loose clothing.

We’ll search the canopy for warblers, tanagers and more. Please wear comfortable shoes and bring binoculars if you have them. All skill levels are welcome. Walks meet in the Museum of Natural History and Planetarium.&nbsp;
