Discover the Museum’s archives and collection storage vaults while learning more about its history and collections in this adult program. Please note: access to the archives and vaults is by stairs only. 
Program fee per session: $3 per adult/Free for museum members.  Pre-registration required. Capacity is limited. Pets are not permitted on walking tours. Children are not permitted in our lifelong learners programming.

The <a href="https://www.providenceri.gov/museum/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Museum of Natural History and Planetarium</a> offers tours, talks, drawing classes and other enriching programs designed for adult learners. Programs are offered throughout the year for adult participants and vary by topic and format.

We recommend arriving 15–30 minutes early to find parking, grab a drink, and get settled. Please note: If you arrive late, the artist may not be able to fill you in on the steps you missed, as they will be focused on guiding the rest of the class. If you arrive more than 20 minutes late, we kindly ask that you do not join the session. Late arrivals can be disruptive and may not have enough time to complete the painting. Light of Hope

Saturday, May 23 | 10:00 to 11:30 a.m.
Developed as a healing art, qigong is a gentle yet empowering movement practice that strengthens your vital energy (qi). Similar to tai chi, it is usually practiced slowly while standing, but because it does not involve a specific sequence of movements it is simpler to learn. No experience needed.
Following qigong practice, we will settle onto the floor to learn a few self-acupressure points. (A couple chairs will be available if needed.) The workshop will conclude with a brief meditation, either seated or supine, in which acupressure will be offered. Bring a mat or blanket if you have one, and wear loose clothing.

We’ll search the canopy for warblers, tanagers and more. Please wear comfortable shoes and bring binoculars if you have them. All skill levels are welcome. Walks meet in the Museum of Natural History and Planetarium.&nbsp;
