Founded in 2014, the eleven-acre ranch provides innovative alternative therapy programs for U.S. military veterans and their families struggling with emotional challenges such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Anxiety, Depression, Military Sexual Trauma (MST) and Mild Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).

According to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, 1.7 million veterans are dealing with some type of mental health issue.

“We help veterans in-need become successful civilians upon return from the battlefield and veterans’ family members who may require emotional coping skills,” said Founder and Executive Vice President Karen Dalton.

All services are provided at no cost.

Ever-expanding programs include equine therapy, yoga, horticulture therapy, nutritional cooking, woodworking, fly tying, and career coaching.

Current goals are to raise two million dollars and build an indoor health and wellness arena, plus to expand the main house adding bedrooms for retreats, a teaching kitchen, and function rooms.

The new facility will house medical offices for massage, reflexology, hypnotherapy, plus eight stalls, and an indoor riding arena for inclement weather. Plans include establishing a mental health clinic on property with licensed behavior health professionals.

“I want to continue my mission of providing and expanding programs to help as many military veterans and their families as possible,” said Dalton, whose fiancé, Randy Bagwell, is a veteran who wants to teach veterans how to raise cattle at the ranch.
