Gov. Raimondo Tours Bannister Center
Governor Speaks to Residents, Union Members and Facility's Leadership

Last month, Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo (D) visited Bannister Center, the newly-renovated 95-bed Dodge Street nursing home and rehabilitation establishment, and met with it's residents, spoke to union members, as well as the facility's leadership.
The Governor enjoyed a tour and lunch with Bannister Center's leadership team that included Administrator Melissa Prevey and Melanie McWhite, Centers Health Care's Rhode Island Regional Director. During the tour, the governor learned about the new renovations that were completed at the facility and she also spoke to residents on the 2nd floor and in the facility's main dining room about the Affordable Care Act.
Following the tour, Raimondo also met with nursing union members to discuss raising wages for healthcare workers.
