Injured RI Ballet Dancer, Told He'd Never Dance Again, Returns
A car plowed into Providence ballet dancer Jordan Nelson as he was riding a bicycle and then drove away.

PROVIDENCE, RI — Providence ballet dancer Jordan Nelson was riding his bike on Hope Street in June when a car plowed into him and drove away, leaving him with skull fractures and a broken clavicle. Doctors told the Festival Ballet Providence dancer he would never dance again, but Nelson refused to accept that as an answer, WLNE-TV reported, and has since returned to the stage.
The first place he visited after being released from the hospital was the dance studio, Nelson said. He danced instead of undergoing physical therapy, he said. Nelson retaught himself and had to "rebuild from square one." Now? He's stronger than ever.
The hit-and-run driver was never caught.
