Kidnapping Attempt Reported In Providence, Person Of Interest At Large

PROVIDENCE, RI — Providence police are looking for a 45-year-old man who has been named a person of interest in the attempted kidnapping of a 10-year-old girl Wednesday evening, according to multiple reports that cite police.
The kidnapping was reported around 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of North Main Street and Nashua Street, ABC6 reported.
The person of interest, Marc Pierre, has been described as a Black man who stands about six feet tall and was last seen wearing a long green coat, gray hooded sweatshirt, dark winter cap and green backpack, according to WPRI.

Both outlets noted that Pierre is known to frequent the area of Nashua and North Main Streets as well as Corliss Street.
