PROVIDENCE, RI — Chances are you won't be able to see Lucy Dacus at Newport Folk Festival. The show is sold out, but there's another chance to see Dacus in Rhode Island.

She will be joined on her tour by Samia at the Strand Ballroom on Sunday in support of her 2021 album "Home Video".

Dacus is one of the premier indie singer-songwriters of this era. She's a part of the supergroup Boygenius with Phoebe Bridgers and Julien Baker.

"Home Video", which received a 7.7 rating from Pitchfork, is a look into Christian youth culture in the 2000s. Dacus often writes personal songs that lean into the sad-indie genre.

Recently, however, she covered Cher's "Believe" as part of the Spotify Single series.
