Matthew E. Waters Joins Hinckley Allen

Hinckley Allen is pleased to welcome Matthew E. Waters as an Associate in the Corporate & Business practice group. Matt joins Hinckley Allen from Adler Pollock & Sheehan, P.C.

Matt handles corporate and transactional matters including M&A, commercial and public finance, entity formation and dissolution, and tax matters. His experience includes drafting and advising on asset purchase agreements, purchase and sale agreements, and commercial leases. He has also counseled borrowers in bank financing transactions, including reviewing loan documents, drafting resolutions and opinion letters, managing due diligence, and coordinating closings. While in public service, Matt helped draft corporate income tax regulations for the State of Rhode Island. Matt also brings a global perspective to his practice through his prior work in South Korea as Foreign Legal Advisor to a law firm serving the international shipping industry.

Matthew earned a Bachelor’s degree from George Washington University, a Master’s at Columbia University and a J.D. degree from Boston University School of Law. Matthew is admitted in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New York. He maintains his membership in the Maritime Law Association of the United States.
