Mitski is bringing her "Laurel Hell" summer tour to Providence on Thursday. Here's what else to know.

PROVIDENCE, RI — Indie star Mitski is heading to the Ocean State for a concert on the water this week.
Mitski, currently touring her recent album "Laurel Hell", will play Bold Point Park on Thursday, with support from The Weather Station.
The tour started on July 14 in Minneapolis, with Thursday marking the second week of the summer tour.

Mitski's sixth album, "Laurel Hell", released earlier this year to critical acclaim. It garnered a 7.8 rating on Pitchfork, who said the most recent songs are "wispy, less image-dense " than on previous records.
The record also achieved commercial success, debuting at number five on the Billboard 200. Her single, "The Only Heartbreaker", marked the first time a song of her's landed at the top spot on the Adult Alternative Airplay chart.

Her 2018 album "Be the Cowboy" found itself toward the top of many year end lists, garnering an 8.8 on Pitchfork.
