  1. The Dunkin' Donuts Center needs a new roof. The current roof is approximately 50 years old and in need of repair. A new roof is estimated to cost nearly $8 million. (Milford Mirror)
  2. According to a press release from the City of Providence, Mayor Jorge O. Elorza has joined RIHousing to announce a new partnership to support Providence residents in applying for rental and utility assistance funds through RIHousing's federally-funded RentReliefRI program. RentReliefRI is a rental and utility assistance program designed to help eligible renters and property owners who have experienced financial hardship due to or during the COVID-19 pandemic.   3. Brown University ranks as the hardest school in Rhode Island to get into based on an index of admission rates and SAT scores. A reported 7.7% of all 36,793 applicants were admitted in the 2020-21 school year. (24/7 Wall St. - Providence)
  4. Major renovations have breathed new life into the Providence Public Library and the new space is a versatile beauty with a bevy of programs, activities and history to offer the city's residents. (The Providence Journal)
  5. Two Providence police officers have been put on administrative duty. An investigation in relation to their response, following a standoff with an armed man on Denison Street earlier in February, is currently underway. (The Providence Journal)
