Providence Man Accused Of Molesting Child Several Times

PROVIDENCE, RI — A Providence man charged last month after The Rhode Island Attorney General's Office said he sexually molested a child several times.

Saron Vongsavang, 29, was arrested on Jan. 9, and was formally charged on April 28, with five counts of second-degree child molestation.

According to prosecutors, Vongsavang sexually assaulted a child under age 14 several times between June 23, 2022, and Sept. 2, 2022, in Pawtucket.

Vongsavang is scheduled for a pre-arraignment conference on July 5, in Providence County Superior Court.
