Providence Man Charged With DUI After Crash: Cops

PROVIDENCE, RI — A Providence man was charged with driving under the influence following a crash, police said.

Jose Cac Castro, 42, was arrested shortly before 10:30 p.m. Monday, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.

Cac Castro was charged with driving under the influence of liquor and refusal to submit to a chemical test, according to the release.

"The arrest was the result of an investigation into a motor vehicle crash on Union Avenue" in Providence, the release said.

Cac Castro was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned and released with a notice to appear in court, according to police.
