Providence Man Charged With Possessing Stolen Vehicle: Cops

He was arrested by the Auto Theft Task Force, ACI Investigations Unit and Intelligence Unit, police said.

PROVIDENCE, RI — A Providence man was charged with possessing a stolen vehicle, police said.

Alfino Davis, 48, was arrested about 6 a.m. Thursday by the Rhode Island State Police Auto Theft Task Force, Adult Correctional Institutions Investigations Unit and Intelligence Unit, the state police said in a media release.

Davis was also charged with possession of a vehicle with an altered identification number, according to the release.

Davis was processed at state police headquarters, taken to Third Division District Court for arraignment and granted a $3,000 surety bail, the release said.
