Providence Man Wanted In Massachusetts Captured: Cops
The Providence man was a fugitive from justice from the state of Massachusetts, police said.
PROVIDENCE, RI — A Providence man wanted as a fugitive from justice from the state of Massachusetts was captured, police said.
Jerome McCarthy, 37, was arrested Thursday by the Rhode Island State Police Adult Correctional Institutions Investigations Unit, the state police said in a media release.
"Mr. McCarthy was arraigned at Third Division District Court where he waived extradition proceedings and was remanded into the custody of the Sheriff's Department pending his return to Massachusetts," the release said.
