Providence Mayor Jorge Elorza Tests Positive For COVID-19
Mayor Elorza canceled in-person meetings and events for the next few days and will work remote. The mayor is vaccinated and boosted.

PROVIDENCE, RI — Providence Mayor Jorge Elorza tested positive for COVID-19, a spokesperson for his administration said Thursday.
Elorza was experiencing COVID-19 symptoms Thursday morning and took an at-home test, which came back positive. A spokesperson from his office said the mayor scheduled a PCR test to confirm the results.
Elorza canceled any in-person meetings or events for the next few days and will be working remote.
