Providence Sex Offender Failed To Register: Cops
The sex offender was arrested on Christmas Eve, police said.
PROVIDENCE, RI — A Providence sex offender was charged with failing to register.
Jose Torrez, 54, was arrested shortly before 7 p.m. Christmas Eve, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.
"The arrest was the result of troopers responding to Harrington Hall for reports of a wanted person," the release said.

Torrez was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and "turned over to the Providence Police Department," according to the release.
