Providence Woman Finds Naked Man In Her Car During Commute: Police

A Providence resident discovered a naked man in the back of her car, but only at the end of her commute to Easton, Massachusetts, cops said.

PROVIDENCE, RI — A Providence woman's commute seemingly went off without a hitch, that is, until she pulled into her place of work and discovered a naked man in her backseat some 30 miles away from home.

According to police in Easton, Massachusetts, officers were called to 2 Belmont St. after a 911 caller reported that she had discovered a naked man in the back seat of her vehicle around 12 a.m. on Monday.

The woman told police that she had just finished her commute, and, while pulling into the parking lot, noticed the man lying on the floor in the backseat of her SUV.

Police found that the woman had started her SUV at her Providence home approximately one hour earlier, and returned inside after starting the car for a moment. It was during that time that the man, identified as Jose Osorio, 21, of Providence, apparently entered the vehicle and fell asleep on the rear seat floor, police said.

She said she didn't know Osorio, and had never seen him before. The woman added that Osario never threatened her, and she was uninjured.

Police found Osorio in the back of the car, where he was partially clothed, with a pair of shorts around one leg and a shirt wrapped around one arm, leaving the rest of his body uncovered.

It was apparent to the officers, police said, that Osorio "was extremely intoxicated." Through an interpreter service, police learned that he had consumed a "large amount of alcohol and marijuana" earlier in the evening in Providence.

Osorio is charged with breaking and entering a vehicle. He also had an outstanding warrant from Cranston, Rhode Island for a prior breaking and entering, police said.
