RI State Police Assist Providence With Assault Case: Arrests Log

RHODE ISLAND — The following people were arrested Monday night and Tuesday morning by Rhode Island State Police.

All the arrests were booked at the Lincoln Woods State Police Barracks.

6:18 p.m. Monday — Troopers arrested Willy Welson, 32, of Providence, and charged him with disorderly conduct. State Police said the arrest was the result of troopers being called to the Cranston Street Armory in Providence for the report of a disturbance. Welson was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and held overnight pending a morning arraignment at Sixth District Court in Providence.

12:45 a.m. Tuesday — Troopers arrested Miguel Pacheco, 39, of Pawtucket, and charged him with disorderly conduct and simple assault. The arrest came after State Police were called to the Cranston Street Armory for a report of a disturbance. Pacheco was booked at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and held overnight for a morning arraignment at Sixth District Court in Providence.

12:45 a.m. — State Police arrested Angel Merced, 47, of Providence. Merced was charged with disorderly conduct and simple assault. State Police said the arrested came after a report of a disturbance at the Cranston Street Armory. Merced was booked at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned by a justice of the peace and released with a future court date.

1:30 a.m. — State Police arrested Jerone Brown, 26, of Providence and charged him with failure to appear for a pretrial conference on a charge of domestic simple assault, originating out of the Providence Police Department. State Police said the arrest came during a motor vehicle stop on Bucklin Street in Providence. Brown was booked at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution in Cranston.
