Here are the top stories in Providence today:

  1. One of the two men shot in Providence over the weekend has died. Niberto Diaz, 21, and Samuel Corcoran, 29, were shot while sitting in a car outside an apartment complex on Glasgow Street early Sunday morning. Both men were rushed to Rhode Island Hospital in critical condition. Diaz did not survive. (WPRI.com)
  2. Providence College sent a warning to students on Friday, after a group of students was robbed and assaulted in the city. The group was walking near Tyndall Avenue and Chad Brown Street when a group of males approached them, according to the warning. The males, ages ranging from 16-19 years old, punched and kicked the students. (WLNE-TV (ABC6))
  3. Providence Fire mourns the loss of one of their own, Lieutenant Christopher Jannitto, after his loss to cancer. (WLNE-TV (ABC6))
