Shots Fired At PVDFest: Report
A single shooter is believed to have fired off several rounds into the air around 11 p.m. on Saturday.
PROVIDENCE, RI — Police were called to downtown Providence late Saturday for reports of shots fired at PVDFest.
According to WPRI, witnesses reported seeing someone fire off several rounds into the air in the area of Washington Street and Union Avenue. Police are still on the hunt for the suspect and no arrests have been made at this time, WPRI reported.
On Sunday morning, Rhode Island State Police said troopers did not respond to the scene but the department was told to be on the lookout for a vehicle believed to be involved in the incident.
