Teen Facing Murder Charge In Providence Boy's Killing: Report

A 14-year-old has been arrested and charged in connection with the killing of a fellow teenager earlier this year.

PROVIDENCE, RI — A 14-year-old has been arrested and is facing murder charges in connection with the killing of 17-year-old Emil Rodriguez of Providence in February, according to WPRI.

According to his obituary, Emil Rodriguez was born in Providence to mother Evelyn Rodriguez and father Manuel Arias.

At the time of his death, Rodriguez was studying at Tides School in West Warwick and aspired to pursue iron work after graduation. He loved playing baseball and is survived by two sisters and a brother, his obituary said.
