PROVIDENCE, RI — A new television pilot about Federal Hill was filming in Providence this week.
The production is being directed by Rhode Island-based director Michael Corrente, and City Hall was used as a film set, the Providence City Council shared on Twitter.
R.I. Film & Television Office executive director Steven Feinberg told WPRI 12 the working title for the show is "Federal Hill," and he described it as a "period piece."

A permit filed with the city described the show as the "story of John Partington and invention of witness protection."
Partington was the former public safety commissioner of Providence and helped form the federal witness protection program in the 1960s to protect mob informants.
