Two Johnson And Wales Students Mugged At Knifepoint
The students' phones were on the picnic table. During the conversation, one of the suspects took out a foot-long knife and snagged them.

PROVIDENCE — Four teens mugged two Johnson and Wales University students at knifepoint Monday afternoon, police said.
The Providence Journal reported victims told police they were sitting at a picnic table in Columbia Park when four teenagers started talking to them. The students’ phones were on the picnic table. During the conversation, one of the suspects took out a foot-long knife and snagged the phones off the table.
The suspects ran away, then police said they stopped to throw a backpack in a trash can, where multiple phones were found.

Campus officials told the Providence Journal no one was hurt.
In an alert, campus officials told students to always be alert and aware of their surroundings.

“Be mindful that Columbia Park is not a part of the Harborside Campus and you should avoid congregating in that area,” the alert said.
