Wanted Providence Woman Apprehended During Traffic Stop: Cops

PROVIDENCE, RI — A wanted Providence woman was apprehended during a Friday morning traffic stop, police said.

Maland Stanfield, 55, was arrested on a warrant out of Pawtucket charging her with assault and disorderly conduct, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.

Stanfield was pulled over and arrested shortly after 8 a.m. Friday on Manton Avenue in Providence, the release said.

Stanfield was processed at state police headquarters and turned over to the Pawtucket Police Department, according to the release.
