Woman Bit Providence Officer After Being Denied Entry To Club: Police

PROVIDENCE, RI — A woman was arrested in Providence early Sunday morning after being accused of biting and punching a police officer who asked her to leave a club, police confirmed to Patch Monday afternoon.
The woman, identified as 27-year-old Taylor Martone, began yelling at a security guard after she was refused entrance into Saje Kitchen, WJAR reported.
The officer said Martone was yelling because she had been "disrespected inside of the club," according to ABC6.

After a police officer arrived at the scene and asked her to leave, Martone punched the officer in the head and bit him on the arm as he attempted to take her into custody, WJAR reported.
Martone is facing charges of felony assault, simple assault, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct, according to WPRI. She has been placed in a padded cell, per WJAR.
