This is Town Administrator Karen Pinch with a special message about Hurricane Henri. The hurricane is expected to hit our area Sunday evening into Monday with damaging winds and power outages. At this time, and based on the current information, National Grid is planning on a three day restoration for all customers.   They have brought in extra crews to assist with restoration.   You are encouraged to stay off the roadways and shelter in place.  Make sure you have sufficient supplies. Please consult the homepage of our website or the town Facebook page for useful information on hurricane preparedness.  Emergency shelters are open in South Kingstown at South Kingstown High School, 215 Columbia Street, or in Warwick at Pilgrim High School, 111 Pilgrim Parkway.
