Smithfield Fall Fest 2026 Set for September 25 (upriseri.com) — Smithfield has added a new Fall Fest at Deerfield Park on September 25, running from 5 p.m. until dark with food trucks, vendors, music, and a kids zone. The town notes the event will be held behind the tennis courts near the Senior Center and reminds residents that e-bikes, scooters, and dogs are not allowed, encouraging people to check for updates beforehand.
2. Smithfield Zoning Hearings Set for October 7 on Four Cases (upriseri.com) — Smithfield's Zoning Board will tackle four cases on October 7 at Town Hall, including a proposed medical clinic on Cedar Swamp Road, two front-yard variance requests, and an appeal tied to the Smithfield Corporate Complex plan. Residents can attend the 6 p.m. meeting to offer evidence-based comments on traffic, neighborhood impacts, and consistency with town plans, especially regarding the large corporate complex proposal.
3. Smithfield Council Splits on Town Aid Grants, OKs Bathrooms (upriseri.com) — Smithfield's Town Council narrowly approved several town-aid grants to outside nonprofits, authorized a $494,000 renovation of two bathroom areas at Smithfield High School, and okayed a $64,611 fire department pickup truck purchase. 4. #11 Tigers Fall To Rutgers, 2-0 (goprincetontigers.com) — Smithfield will host a nationally ranked men's college soccer matchup this Saturday as #11 Princeton visits #24 Bryant for a 6 p.m. kickoff.
