The Greenville Public Library celebrated its 130th Anniversary on Saturday, October 20 from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm at St. Philip's Parish Center in Greenville.
The event was a great success with a wine tasting, silent auction, music from the Rhode Island College singing group "Dave'd and Confused", balloon raffle and a special raffle of an original oil painting "Tapestry of Green" by local resident and artist Domine Vescera Ragosta.
U.S. Rep. David Cicilline presented the Director Chris LaRoux with a citation honoring the anniversary of the library. Board President Stephen Cicilline and the Greenville Public Library Board raised just over $10,000 from this event. The money will go towards the Library Building Fund.
