The Smithfield Fire Department will begin a weekly safety tip to benefit the residents and business owners in the Smithfield community. Topics such as fire safety; medical emergencies; trauma emergencies; storm preparation and general safety tips will be offered on a weekly basis.

The safety tip feature will begin during the week of January 6-12, 2013.
