Smithfield Little League Announces AA Division Top Field Day Scorers

(SMITHFIELD, R.I.)-Last Saturday, June 15, Smithfield Little Leaguers in the T-ball, A and AA Divisions took to the Deerfield Park Baseball Field for a friendly skills competition followed by an awards ceremony.

Players competed in contests that assessed the most accurate pitch, fastest base runner and longest hit off a tee.  The top three players in each competition in each division received a medal.   All participants had their names read aloud and presented a medal of participation.
 
In keeping with a Smithfield Little League tradition, at the conclusion of the awards ceremony, players tossed water balloons at their coaches. 

Liam Dickson, Frank Lombardi, Cole McDuffee, Lucas Suarez, Ray LaPorte, Nick Jonas, Chris Curry and Jackson Swallow were the top scorers in the AA Division for batting, pitching and base running in Smithfield Little League's Field Day competition.
