Fundraiser For K-9 Program A Success
The event raised almost $15,000, organizers said.
SMITHFIELD, RI — A citizens group has given Smithfield police a check to help restart the K-9 program. The Citizens for Smithfield K-9 said it raised almost $15,000 at a recent dinner. The police have had a K-9 program in the past and would like to resume working with police dogs.
